Therapy methods
How do we help with NCMT therapy
We provide complex physiotherapy, training and massage services to Individual artists, Bands and Institutions. We specialise in wear & tear, chronic pain, pre and post - injury physiotherapy management.
- pain, discomfort or wanting to stay fit & healthy in your profession ??
- problems playing bass or guitar ??
- shoulder or neck pain on violin ??
- lumbar discomfort on cello ??
- strain to your voice coming too soon in rehearsal ??
Or just want to check out your technique while playing o that its ‘not causing any compensation or further problem. We can enhance your work comfort while on tour and mid-travel offering manual work, massage, functional diagnostics and well as specified methods of training.
We want you to ROCK the stage and studio Healthier, Happier and Pain-free longer !!
In classical "western medicine" muscle weakness is always associated to lack of training and practice. Which would mean that weak hand muscles for instance playing bass, would constitute as you being untrained.
That THEORY and CONCEPT - IS COMPLETELY WRONG !! And here is why...:
A muscle can seem weak, in its systemic reactivity, when its main supportive systems don't work at a 100% optimum.
In other words an IMPUT cable plugged in half-way won't transmit the audio signal and in end effect WON'T produce sound = MUSIC...

In order for ANY muscle to react (function) properly here are the vital systems providing that:
Nerve system
nerve impulse transmission
Lymphatic system
muscle detoxification and flow of metabolites
Circulatory system
muscles need fuel, the blood if fuel for single functional muscle cells
Biochemistry
each muscle requires a specific chemical substance, that determines its proper function
Cranio-sacral system
any functional restrictions to the crania-sacral system can impair muscle reactivity and function
Meridian system
In Chinese medicine, each muscle is supplied with its "associated' meridian, any weakening of that energy transmission can lead to a functional weakening of that muscle.
Muscle-Organ connection
each muscle has it's organ partner, where the specific spine segment unit is responsible for. Any disruption to this signalling results again in a functional 'weakness' of the muscle.
Only when performing a body "sound check" and evaluating if all power sources are plugged in, the batteries are fresh and the levels are at an optimum can we determine why we aren't receiving the desired sound, tone and music. The musicians body works very much in the same way, where everything is functionally connected and ONE element affects them ALL.
How does an NCMT session practically look
In NCMT therapy we evaluate and treat the problem/cause of pain already upon the first session. The therapy is performed in all 'positions' of the lesion. During sitting, standing with a guitar or bass, when lounging performing a typic stage move, or whenever pain and discomfort manifests most. 'Weak' muscles regain their normal reactivity. The skeletal system and joints are corrected towards symmetry and proper alignement. Organs are mobilised for enhanced function. The nerve system is normalised. The therapy effect is almost immediate, with knee pain alleviated, shoulder tension under a strap belt diminished or having a firmer grip on the drum sticks - is how musicians often describe it after an NCMT correction is applied.
Orthomolecular medicine meaning 'What we're actually made of"
Chronic pain to any body region is often a result of chemical imbalance in the organism. In its holistic functional aspect we need substances like: vitamins, minerals and amino acids, the presence of any 'negative' substances as: heavy metals ( and we're not talking about the genre), parasite or fungal infections and other toxins, can result in a slow health deterioration, affecting performance quality and agility, leading in consequence to systemic health problems and musculoskeletal injuries often referred to as 'idiopathic' ( of an unknown source) - if you suffer from reoccurring headaches or constant tendonitis, it could have its specific source in the body biochemistry.
It's psycho-somanic and emotions affect the body
'Oxidative stres is a scientific term for the degenerative process of the body's cells. Negative emotions such as angst, fear, anger etc. directly and negatively affect the functions of the nerve system leading to elevated 'stress' hormone production and as a result compromising the homeostatic balance of the body systems.
